Camp High Rocks, a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has an assistant director opening for it's summer mountain biking program. Candidate should have extensive experience with mountain biking, instruction, maintenance, and related outdoor skills.
Responsibilities: Help direct 4-5 mountain biking instructors. Instruct mountain biking skills, safety aspects, and appropriate use of bikes in the woods. Create lesson plans for the program. Lead biking trips on and off camp property, including occasional overnights.
Qualifications: At least 21 years of age. Experience leading a Mountain Biking program, clean driving record, Wilderness First Responder. Training can be offered for the right candidate.

We are looking for a team of fun, active, and caring people who are willing to be creative, energetic, responsible, and patient as they lead by example. Counselors are at least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore, with a strong interest in working with children.
Male counselors live in a cabin with 5 to 7 boys, ages 7-16. Female staff have additional duties in lieu of cabin coverage. We act not only as teachers, but as friends, role models, and at times parents.

The six-person instructor team works closely together to coordinate all aspects of the trip, including instruction in all outdoor activities, risk management, managing group dynamics, menu planning, purchasing food, laundry, transportation, coordinating with outfitters, maintaining equipment and handling medical issues.
